NOTE 1:  Amazing provenace from the Mario Zagallo´s collection . Beleived to be given as a gift from player himself. Considered the most beautiful shirt in history and gifted to the former brazilian coach.

NOTE 2: Matthäus held the record (along Mexican goalkeeper Antonio Carvajal) of having played in five FIFA Word Cups since 1982 until 1998 more than any other outfield player in men's football, until the 2018 world cup in which Mexico's Rafel Marquez equalled his record, and holds the record for the most World Cup matches played by a single player (25 games).

NOTE 3: Matthäus is the most capped  German player of all time, retiring with a total of 150 appearances (83 for West Germany) in 20 years, and 23 goals. Matthäus is a member of the FIFA 100 list of the greatest living football players chosen by Pelé.

NOTE 4: Lothar worn #10 & this design with just the adidas logo "no adidas name" on chest at the end of 1989 and friendly games at the beginnings of 1990 , previous World Cup, as example against France in February 1990 . See photo attached.
