PROVENANCE: Jersey comes directly from first provenace , and being  part of the personal collection of former chilean striker Pascual De Gregorio, who player for Bari during the seasons 1999-20003. Jersey was swapped by De Gregorio  with Steve vickers (208 appearances) after the match during the incredible and rare "GADDAFI" Tour in Libya , when Bari faced Boro for a triangular. NOTE 1: The triangular event featuring Saadi Gaddafi’s Libya XI, Serie A side Bari and Boro was, officially anyway, to mark the opening of Tripoli’s new Great Man Made River Stadium.There were also 15 ‘Boro fans’, mainly from the local ex-pat oil and gas communities.

NOTE 2: Some notes from that tour wich will be remembered for all Boro fans, but not for the wins or trophies:  Recalling the club’s ‘surreal and scary’ post-season bridge-building trip to the North African pariah state in May 2000.“Everything that could go wrong did go wrong,” said from the players at that time, “Right from the off it was shambolic.”“We were taken to Gaddafi’s house, a shrine to his daughter who had been killed by American bombing. And there were guns everywhere. That puts you on edge.“There were armed guards outside every hotel room at night too. You don’t know if that’s for your own protection or to make sure you don’t leave but either way it’s a bit scary. “We were guarded everywhere. The most shocking thing was when little kids tried to come up to us and they were man-handled, shoved aside by men with guns."
