PROVENANCE: UNPRECEDENTED HISTORY. Jose Roberto "Pepe El Brother" Espinoza (RIP) , pioneer and very known and recognized official voice and narrator of the NBA in Mexico for Channel 13, Univision and TV Azteca, covering all of Latin America, developed a friendship with Michael Jordan himself along the decades through his profession in the 1990s. He often covered him from courtside and even interviewed him many times.

SEE VIDEO ATTACHED when "Pepe" interviewed Michael Jordan in the 1992 Olympic Games. 

As related by consignator  days after Chicago's three-peat championship, Jordan himself gave as a gift to "Pepe" this auctioned  Size 13 shoes worn during the 1993 playoffs in gratitude for their friendship. The gift was given just before "Pepe" had to return to his normal work schedule in Mexico City. Some time later in 1993, "Pepe" himself, in gratitude for the working decades relationship he had with his boss in Televisión,  the well-known Mexican sports journalist José Ramón Fernández, gave it to him in order to care the. .Some time later, the Fernandez's son, Juan Pablo, who was only a teenager at that time, inherited them and took care of them until today when after decades decided to share this unique sporting treasure with fans around the world.

This 1993 "PLAYOFF" GAME WORN AIR JORDAN VIII up for auction designed by Tinker Hatfield are nicknamed for their on-court debut at the tail end of Mike’s first three-peat, hitting the hardwood for the first time in the post season of that same year, so making this style (Black and Red) a extremely unique boots  worn by Michael Jordan only during the 1992-1993 NBA Playoffs and Finals, switching boots from White to ‘Playoff’ Black for the last games in the first era of his career before  his first retirement from Basketball and entry into professional Baseball. Finally Jordan's team defeated the Phoenix Suns 4-2 

So Game worn boots witness  Jordan's leadership to lead the Chicado Bulls to their first three-peat championship and becoming the first player ever to be honoured with Finals MVP  in three consecutive seasons.

NOTE 3: Shoes in great overall condition despite the normal corrosion that this type of basketball shoe soles have, which are normal as are made of polyurethane (PU) for greater lightness in movement. SEE PHOTOS.

Understanding that in 2023 a renowned world auction house put up for auction one of the pairs used in the playoffs, finally determining that that pair was used against the Nicks in Game 4 of the Conference Finals, there are only 18  selected games in which this auctioned game worn boots could have been worn on court during the 1993 Playoffs. (of the 1,251 games Jordan played in his career with Chicago.) :
