PROVENANCE: THE STORY BEHIND THE JERSEY. Jersey comes in first source  from close friend of Diego Maradona from 90's por more than 30 years, Sergio "Turco" Chemen. Sergio held a position in Carlos Menem's government in Argentina and, through an intermediary, connected with Diego by that age, forging a strong and healthy friendship from the very beginning. He even sometimes accompanied Diego to the Boca Juniors stadium box and visited his home, as they shared a passion for the club. Furthermore, through his government connections, he helped in many ways to organize Diego's funeral after his death.

NOTE 2: KEY 1993 SEASON. Great jersey issued to Diego for the important and iconic season 1993 when Diego played against Brasil for AF Centenary Cup and the Artemio Franchi Trophy vs Denmark in February , wich was his last trophy for national team. Also in November was his  comeback to argentinian team vs Australia trying to get the last ticket to the World Cup, and enjoy for the last time the competition that he most enjoyed participating in with his country.

After reviews of photo  press from that 1993 season, its seems Diego worn probably a differente kind of fabric material on short sleeves jersey during the Centenary Cup vs Brasil and Artemio Franchi trophy vs Denmark in Febrero  and long sleeved vs Australia, so this auctioned jersey is considered an issued kit ready to be use by Diego , and which Mardadona  kept with great affection in his personal collection, to later give it to his friend Sergio a a treasure about this important year in his life.

NOTE 3: HERITAGE. Treasures used by Diego during his career are becoming increasingly rare; however, finding one directly from Diego's circle is almost impossible.
