PROVENANCE: Jersey comes from southamerican known former international peruvian defender Percy Olivares and this auctioned jerseys comes from his personal collection and was swapped after the match mentioned with Zinedine Zidane. Jersey is up for auction for first time ever in public auctions after being storaged and cared by player himself until now.

Percy Olivares had a beautiful career in europe playing in Germany (FC Nurnberg), Spain (Tenerife), Greece (Panathinaikos) and Switzerland (FC Thun) among other southamerican counties along 20 years career. For peruvian national team  has been capped 83 times. He participated in the qualifiers for the 1990, 1994, 1998, and 2002 FIFA World Cups. He also participated in the Copa América tournaments of 1989, 1991, 1993, 1995, and 1999. He is currently an ambassador for the Peruvian Football Federation's international projects.

This jersey was worn and swapped by Zizou on September 19, 2000, during the Champions League group stage match played in Turin. The swapped took place immediately after the final whistle between Zizou and Percy Olivares on the sidelines, almost directly across from the exit leading to the dressing rooms.

NOTE 2: STORY BEHIND. As Percy Olivares has stated on many occasions in peruvian media, his deep admiration for Zinedine Zidane comes from long before this magical moment where they meet in the Champions League, which makes the story described even more wonderful.
