PROVENANCE: The granddaughter of former player Arsenio Valdez, certify that this Universidad de Chile short-sleeved jersey with the number 8 in leather was given to his grandfather by Chilean player Guillermo Yavar in 1970, after the match between Guarani and U de Chile in Asunción. His grandfather told us about this jersey many years ago, since it was always kept at home. Arsenio Valdés  played in 14 matches for the Paraguay national football team from 1963 to 1970. He was also part of Paraguay's squad for the 1963 South American Championship.

NOTE 1: WORN ON PPITCH DURING BALLET AZUL!!. Jersey worn on pitch by blue legend Guillermo Yavar on February 25TH, 1970 vs Guaraní on Libertadores Group Stage and swapped with Arsenio Valdés after the match.

NOTE 2: For all the experts, this Copa Libertadores was the last one, or the one that marked the end, of the great Universidad de Chile team called BALLET AZUL.
