NOTE 1: In Alavés Cruyff had a great performance when he reached the 2001 UEFA Cup final against Liverpool. Although they initially trailed 2-0 and then 3-1, Alavés staged a memorable comeback, culminating in Cruyff's own goal in the 89th minute to tie the game at 4-4. An own goal in extra time allowed Liverpool to ultimately lift the trophy.
