PROVENANCE: Jersey comes from well known argentinain collector, and is part of his collection being obtained years ago thorugh former AFA officers who joined the team for the World Cup in England and brough back all the unused kit spares from the cup.

NOTE 1: JULES RIMET TROPHY. PROUD. Dream Auctions is proud to present for the first time a 1966 World Cup jersey belonging to Argentine goalkeeper Antonio Roma, a unique piece with a Sportandia label and all the characteristics and features of the garment worn in that World Cup. Roma wore a black jersey during the tournament, therefore this is considered a player issued jersey that belonged to his private collection and later passed into the hands of World Cup collectors in Argentina.

NOTE 2: SPORTLANDIA LABEL. During the World Cup, the participating teams only wore the English brand Umbro; however, the Argentine team refused to use it and wore a local brand called Sportandia.
