Solano is considered was one of the best Peruvian footballers of recent times and is considered one of the best South American footballers during the second half of the 1990s and the first half of the 2000s. Notably, he holds the record for the Latin American footballer with the most assists in Premier League history and  being remembered for his magnificent free kicks He is also recognized as one of the best Latin American footballers in Premier League history with 15 seasons becoming a legend & icon for Newcastle and also  having seasons in Aston Villa, West Ham among other english teams.

Some records; he is one of the top 20 assist providers in Premier League history, the second Latin American player with the most appearances in the English League, and one of the top scorers and assist providers.
